Flint and Reilly's Luck-Quick! Name the Author!

What did you grow up reading? Westerns? Science Fiction? Historical? Classics? Mystery? Non-fiction? Poetry? Well, I grew up reading a fair number of Louis L'Amour books. One of my favorites is Flint. The back of the one on the left above (featuring L'Amour's picture) is another favorite, Reilly's Luck. Do any of you have a favorite Western?

Boy, you must be a relative of Jake's!!:) -- I still have never read a Louis L'Amour, but have heard all about them. I was more traditional, Emily Loring, Barbara Cartland, Janet Lambert's were probably my favs when I was really into reading in my youth. Now I enjoy historical fiction, or a good Mary Higgins Clark (she might write strange mysteries, but at least they are clean):)

So, I'm the only person in my family that hasn't ever read a Louis Lamour book. It's a little strange cause they were always all over our house and I never had an inkling to pick one up, except maybe once I read the back of one while I was in the bathroom. :) Someday I tell myself I'll read one or two, but I don't want to get addicted just yet. As far as the Edward's Lullaby, I found it at playlist.com and didn't even know who Edward Cullen was until a few days later when I read the book Twilight. I really enjoy it though and wouldn't mind having some more music just like it.

I remember reading "Old Yeller" and "Savage Sam" when I was in grade school, I guess those can be considered westerns, other than that as you know, I read mostly Sci Fi and Fantasy.

I have never read Louis Lamour, but I read a ton of Emilie Loring, like Deana.

Tons of Emilie Loring and L.M. Montgomery. But I did throw in a few Louis Lamour and Zane Grey to shake it up.
