Trisha, where do you find these books? It's great, such a great variety.
Working for the library allows me to find lots of great books.
Just wait until Lanie can read-it's a great milestone but don't worry about pushing too soon-just expose her to lots of books. Let her feel board books at her current age and read other (more fragile) books to her (while trying to minimize page damage.)Even buying some old library books or magazine that she could destroy without expensive consequences will help her exposure to books.
(Just try to keep the checked out books a bit more out of reach or does that sound too much like a library employee?)
Those are great ideas about the magazines, etc. And no, I agree we should be careful with checked out books, I like the library system as much as the next person, let's keep it nice. :)
