Daisy and I volunteered to be patients for a disaster preparedness drill earlier this month at the Utah Air National Guard Base. There was an article from the Deseret News and a picture! We are picture number 10 on the slideshow.

They were going to have more volunteers but that didn't work out so we got to do several scenario runs. Daisy got to play a number of wounded individuals and she did a great job! We split up after the first couple and on her third stint she was in the red line with a crowd of people around her based on her "injuries". She said they took very good care of her and she felt like she was in capable hands. It was a fun learning experience in a safe setting and we'd be happy to volunteer again!
A selection of remarks from the mundane to the occasional wit with some recipes, book selections, and various sundries included.
