Sunday Randomness #314 : Improvisational caution tape

Facilities came out to repair the hinge that suffered metal fatigue and had sheared away from the wall (shown above).  However, they needed some different parts so we needed to ensure that patrons would not use the door.

I found the yellow crepe paper while attempting to find the caution tape (we found some caution tape that was sticky but that would have marred the door and not worked for our situation).  I also suggested writing the word "caution" on the yellow crepe paper.  Another of our librarians-"L", helped me hang the improvised "tape" and printed out the sign.  

We felt our handiwork was sufficient to keep people away until the door hinge was replaced and the area was safe for patrons again.
