Working a New Year's Eve Bash at the library

Aahhh...energy at the beginning of the evening around 8:30.  I had already worked a full day at my regular branch.

Apparently we were suppose to pose behind the circle, not in front but I still think it makes a great prom like photo.

When our guests arrived they approached the photo op circle and then they got to make a wish and hang it in the wishing tunnel.

Then they got mocktails in the flavor of Moscow Mule made from ginger beer, lime juice, and club soda. (shown below)

and/or Cosmo made from cranberry juice, lime juice, sparkling water, and orange juice. (shown below)

The balloons in the ballroom before the drop at midnight.

In the ballroom with around 30 seconds to go before midnight.

The wishing tunnel with a bunch a wishes for the new year. Mego worked the wishing tunnel and helped people hang their wishes.

Mego and myself  in a photo from my photo op station where I helped people get lined up with the camera rather than the monitor and did the count down and helped them do retakes if they desired. This was taken around 1 a.m. on New Year's Day January 1, 2023.  Honest exhaustion showing on both our faces.  We then took over 45 minutes to drive home in a snow storm.  (It's normally is a 20-25 minute drive.)  Despite that we obviously enjoyed ourselves because we've already signed up for more programs.
